PORT HURON, MI – The Port Huron Icehawks and RadioFirst are teaming up to present the Jeff Zehr Show each week during the 2008-09 season on 96.9 FM (WBTI). 

The Icehawks forward will join WBTI deejay Ben Coburn in the studio each Wednesday from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. to discuss the previous week’s games, preview upcoming match-ups and recount stories of interest from practice and the locker room. Zehr will bring special guests with him to the studio, including Icehawks players, coaches and front office staff. He will also take calls from fans and giveaway unique prizes.

The show will begin Wednesday, October 7 and run through the season. Tune in to the inaugural show for the chance to win tickets to Friday’s preseason game versus the Flint Generals and see Manon Rheaume, the only female to ever play in the National Hockey League. Rheaume will appear in goal during the first period of the exhibition game and will sign autographs between the second and third periods. Tickets are just $5.

The Icehawks open the International Hockey league regular season with a Turner Cup Finals rematch versus the Fort Wayne Komets at home on Friday, October 17.
